Marinos Glitsos is a professionally trained luthier residing in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
As a cellist, himself, Marinos fully understands the needs of string players and the instruments which they depend on. His instruments are crafted to meet these exacting needs while honoring traditional woodworking methods and techniques.
After earning a Bachelor of Music degree Marinos served a two year apprenticeship with prominent lute maker Daniel Larson in Duluth, Minnesota. He then went on to enroll and complete the program at the prestigious Violin Making School of America in Salt Lake City, Utah where he studied under award winning violin maker Sanghoon Lee. Upon graduating from violin making school Marinos was invited to work alongside renowned violin maker and restorer John Waddle in Saint Paul, Minnesota where he has had access to some of the finest examples of historical and contemporary instruments.
Marinos continues to craft new violins, violas, and ‘cellos from his home studio.
