In 2000 he traveled to Europe, and enrolled in the Cremona Lutherie school, Italy: IPIALL \"Antonio Stradivari\".\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 2001 he obtained a scholarship from the \"fondazione W. Stauffer\". He graduated from the school in 2004, under the guidance of Master Luthier Lorenzo Marchi. Contemporaneously with the school, he took improvement courses, organized by the \"Regione Lombardia and IPIALL\". At the end of these, he trained  at \"Bottega di liuteria\" (Grisales), where he built his first cello.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 2006 he moved to Buenos Aires and opened his own workshop.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 2009 he went to the Isaac Fernández Blanco Museum of Hispanic American Art, where he became acquainted with the Collection of Notable Instruments and participated as an assistant to Master Luthier Horacio Piñeiro during the restoration of the collection. He is the Museum's Resident Luthier.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 2011 he was appointed President of the Argentine Association of Luthiers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 2014 he entered the permanent staff of the Teatro Colón in Bs.As, with the position of \"String Luthier\".\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Argentine","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53338696679697,"sku":"VN-B161-3","price":12000.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0908\/1149\/8769\/files\/Metzler-Violins-Gervasio-Barreiro-VN-B161-3-Front.jpg?v=1777149393","url":"https:\/\/metzlerviolins.com\/products\/gervasio-barreiro-strad-violin-2023-buenos-aires-argentina-with-makers-certificate","provider":"Metzler Violin Shop Inc.","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
