About the Instrument
This lovely violin is great for orchestral or chamber playing, with a sweet and open timbre. It has a luscious russet varnish that brings out its delicate fiddleback figure on its two-piece back. This instrument has been thoughtfully antiqued by the maker.

About the Maker
Bodo Vosshenrich is a contemporary luthier based in Tolouse, France. He studied violin making from 1996 to 2000 in the Mittenwald School of Violin Making in Bavaria. Upon graduation, Vosshenrich worked in the atelier of Marc Rosenstiel, the former workshop chief of Etienne Vatelot, in Grenoble. After a year with Rosensteil, Vosshenrich worked for Bernard Sabatier and Stephan von Baer in Paris and then Pierre-Yves Dalle-Carbonare, in Toulouse. In 2007, Vosshenrich obtained the title of master craftsman in Germany. At this point, Vosshenrich had opened his own shop in the south of France, and remained in the region as he moved his workshop every few years. Since 2015, Vozzhenrich has pursued the development of electric bowed instruments—particularly what he calls the Zef.
