OUR CELLO SELECTION

While we are “Metzler Violin Shop,” we carry many exceptional violas and cellos too! Our collection of cellos is a testament to our dedication to quality, craft, and variety. We also have a selection of undersize cellos available, including for rent! More info on instrument rentals here. 

We can ship instruments and bows for those who would like to try them outside the Los Angeles area! In addition to cellos, we also offer cello bows, cello strings, and cello bags (hard cases available for pickup in our store). 

To try an instrument or a bow (or several!) in person, please make an appointment! This will ensure the instruments and bows you would like to play are in the shop and we have space (and staff) to accommodate you. The best method is to call or text us during business hours. Our shop is known for its high-quality products, and we are proud to offer a wide range of cello accessories to suit the needs of all musicians. We also offer a range of services for cellos. Our cello repair and restoration services are performed by our in-house luthiers, who are highly skilled and experienced in the art of cello repair. Our cello repair services include crack repair, varnish touch-ups, and sound adjustments. We also offer cello bow rehairing, repair, and restoration. 

Overall, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality service to *all* of our clients. Metzler Violins is comprised of a small-but-mighty group of passionate musicians and expert luthiers and restorers, all of whom are eager to support players in their ventures, whether they are just beginning or have been musicians for a lifetime. As such, we offer a wide range of services including appraisals, repairs, sound adjustments, and restoration to ensure that your instrument sounds and looks its best. CELLO BOWS

For those in need of cello bows, we maintain an inventory to complement that of our instruments. Our diverse roster of bows for sale include those of history’s most celebrated makers as well as from contemporary workshops. In addition, we have an inventory of carbon fiber and fiberglass bows, again ranging from those for beginners to professional players.

CELLO CASES & ACCESSORIES

We also carry many cello bags and accessories. As with all of the products in our store, we have ferreted out the best items available at different price points in hopes to give our customers the choicest options no matter their budget. Overall, our cases will safely protect your instrument—and often with style. We also have dozens of rosin options and, if there is a need, can help you in your selection. Our violin accessories also include everything from wolf eliminators to mutes and more. Some accessories, such as hard cases, are available only in-store.
