This 4/4 Jarek Koscielny violin has a bright, sweet, focused sound. It is responsive and resonant, making it very easy to play.

The back of this violin is formed from two pieces of quarter-cut maple, marked by beautiful, very narrow-width flame, which slants downward from the center joint. The wood on the ribs and scroll is similar to that of the back. The grain of the two-piece spruce top is straight, very narrow, and even.

The instrument is covered with a reddish-brown varnish, over a pale brown ground. It is lightly antiqued and shaded by the maker. This instrument is in excellent condition.
