Why Metzler?

John Stagg (b. 1949) was employed by the firm of W.E Hill & Sons until 1983, when he left to pursue independent work. His bows for the Hill firm are marked with the number 20. Also made bows for the Machold firm in Bremen branded "Machold Bremen - J. W. S."
