Why Metzler?

This is a petite violin from the very best period of Mittenwald violin making. Joseph was the son of the slightly more famous Sebastian Klotz. This instrument has a sweet but powerful tone, surprising only because of its 351mm length. The violin has a solidly repaired crack in the back, which is guaranteed for life, and which has brought the price down by 50%. The chocolate-brown varnish has been applied over a golden ground, giving this violin a very attractive appearance.
