Stefano Trabucchi was born in 1970. At the age of eight he began his studies of the violin as he was intimately attracted by art, music and in particular the instrument itself. When he was only 14 years of age, he enrolled at the Stradivari Institute of Violinmaking in Cremona, where he graduated with honors in 1988 under the guidance of masters Massimo Negroni and Stefano Conia.
Four years of apprenticeship in Marco Nolli's violinmaking workshop followed, enabling him to learn many secrets of the craft.
In 1992 he opened his own workshop in Cremona's historic centre, situated in via Bella Rocca nr. 14. His work takes inspiration from the great Stradivari tradition, starting from original plans and models.
Stefano Trabucchi has distinguished himself in various exhibitions and competitions, including the following:
1989 - Baveno "Berta Prize";
