Vaido RADAMUS was born in 1909 in Estonia, and died in 1976 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. He was first trained as a violinist, but eventually worked for Emil Hjorth in Copenhagen from 1945-1948 making violins, followed by stints in Buenos Aires, and Argentina 1948-1964. He finally settled in Minneapolis in 1964, working for Chester Groth Music Company. He made about 100 instruments made on Stradivari and Guarneri models, including copies of individual master instruments. He was a highly regarded restorer. He also trained American bow maker Roger Zabinski in both violin and bow making.
This bow has a dark octagonal Pernambuco stick with a lightly worn silver-mounted ebony frog.
